| Doug's love of the axe started as a 14
year old while working with Herb McIntosh & Sons. Doug with wife Pam
has now turned this hobby and love of the Australian Bush and timber
industry into a business called "Timber Memorabilia"
All axe heads are supplied in raw cast form by
"KEENSTEEL" and are finished by Doug Campbell.

The Work Axe comes in two weights of 2
kilo or 2.3 kilo and can be used for all types of axe work from chopping
firewood to timber falling. This axe is popular with campers and 4wd
enthusiasts.

The Poisoning Axe is a great little axe
that can be used for poisoning trees and scrub instead of ringbarking. A
"U" shaped groove in the head of the axe assists in the chemical
poisoning.

The Broadaxe used in the squaring of all
timber in bygone days was Invented in 1830 by Mr Weed of the USA.
This particular axe was supplied by Clive McIntosh to Doug in 1957 for
squaring girders for wharves in Brisbane.
Leather covers for all axes are available
on request. |
