Enjoy the great country lifestyle in Mallanganee,
one of the many picturesque villages that make up Kyogle Shire.
Mallanganee (A place of tall pines) is situated
about 40kms west of Casino on the Bruxner Highway with a population of
around 140.
On the way to Mallanganee you pass through the
tiny village of Mummulgum which is about 25kms from Casino and has a
population of around 90 people.
You can experience the famous Mallanganee Pie at
the bakery, a cold refreshing beer at the Hotel and check out the
uniqueness of the village like the local branding board and old
Pre-Federation mail boxes at the Post Office/General Store.
A back drop of a bullock team hauling timber can
be viewed in the Memorial Hall as can some fantastic handcrafted
sculptures in the Catholic Church.
