Local junior rugby league player, Zac Fardon, continues to impress Rugby League selectors. Zac’s impressive football skills and talent has been further recognised after attending the NSW Sports Academy in North Narrabeen last week.
Zac was chosen out of a squad of 30 talented junior under 12 rugby league players to represent New South Wales in the State School Boy Rugby League Under 12’s. After originally being chosen to represent the Northern Rivers Region to play at the tryouts at Oberon, Zac has come a long way and has certainly shown he has what it takes to excel in the game of Rugby League.
Along with 16 other talented players, Zac will attend a five day intensive training camp at Mt. Pritchard in Sydney commencing from July 29. Following the training camp will be a series of games with other States including Queensland, the Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory, South Australia and Victoria.
Zac’s impressive achievement should not be under rated as he is the only representative from the Northern Coast Region. His achievement should be hailed as a great success story for the talent and resources of the young people within our local area.
