Matthew Piga attends Kyogle High School aged 14. His
2001 achievements include selection into the North Coast Academy of
Sport. Selected in the Under 14's Far North Coast Representative Soccer
team & chosen as vice captain of the team. Matthew's team won the
Northern NSW State title.
Matthew is a keen sportsperson in August he won the
800m &1500m at the Zone Athletics carnival. Matthew was the 14yrs Age
Champion at this carnival & broke the Zone Record for the 1500m with a
time of 4.53sec.
He then went on to compete in North Coast Regional
Carnival and qualified for the State Titles at Homebush.
Matthew also competed at Zone & Regional Cross
Country Events and qualified for the state Titles but was unable to
compete due to Soccer Commitments.
